eduCLaas and Vietnamese Ministry of National Defence signed MoU to deliver inclusive digital transformation in Vietnam

On Monday, 31 Oct 2022, the MOU signing between eduCLaas and the Vietnamese Ministry of Defence was held at the Vietnamese Military Software Park (Vinh Hoa, Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa), witnessed by Colonel Tran Van Thuan - Director of the Military Software Park (ASP); Senior Colonel Pham Quang Thieu - Vice Chairman of Science and Technology; Mr Leslie Loh -  eduCLaaS’ CEO and Founder and other representatives, marking the beginning of the collaborations between 2 parties to deliver inclusive digital transformation in Vietnam.

The National Digital Transformation Programme by 2025 was recently approved and launched in Vietnam with an orientation towards 2030. The initiative will help accelerate the national digital transformation through changes in awareness, enterprise strategies, and incentives towards the digitalization of businesses, administration, and production activities. The nation aims for the digital economy to contribute 20 percent by 2025 and 30 percent by 2030 to the country’s economy.

Under the agreement, Army Software Park (ASP) formed under the Ministry of National Defence will collaborate with eduCLaaS – a digital skilling platform to enhance the digital transformation of the region. ASP is building up state of art Data and IT infrastructure in Khanh Hoa – a central province of Vietnam to be used for Defense as well as Civil purposes. Through this collaboration ASP and eduClaaS will form a common brand for implementing workforce development and incubation of talent in digital domain.

Army Software Park’s representation shared the excitement about the collaboration: “We will work together in three main areas: Corporate employee training on partial and inclusive digital transformation; digital technology training; IT for higher education, and co-branding in all marketing activities as well as practical applications. ASP – eduCLaaS will develop as a common brand, going together when approaching and working with government bodies, business associations, schools and widely deploying the corporation in the market”
