On 11 November 2022, Mrs Clarissa P. Vicente - Dean, College of Information Technology Education at Baliuag University (Bulacan, Philippines) and her team had a visit to eduCLaaS headquarters in Singapore to further understand the eduCLaaS’ delivery processes, which can produce digital future-ready workforce and explore new programmes between 2 institutions. Since 2021, Baliuag University has been eduCLaaS’ first Region 3 partner to embark on Work-Study undergraduate programmes in the Philippines.

The visit took place after eduCLaaS signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Baliuag University to launch Work-Study degrees across the Philippines. Under this partnership, learners will gain up to 3 years of working experience before graduation. During this visit, representatives from Baliuag University also had a chance to meet and discuss with eduCLaaS to understand new programmes and the employment landscape of Singapore and the region.

Speaking about the experience visiting eduCLaaS headquarters, the Dean for the College of IT education from Baliuag University. said: “We are so delighted as we had a fruitful discussion with Mr. Krishnamoorthy Ramoo, Chief Operating Officer, and his team here in Singapore where eduCLaaS is based. Indeed, we are very grateful because they took the time to accommodate us, and we are excited to see more of what eduCLaaS has in store for our learners.  I believed that innovations in teaching and learning delivery are a lifelong process of continuous collaboration and keeping abreast of changes in technology.”

Emphasising the collaboration between 2 institutions, eduCLaaS’ COO, Mr Krishnamoorthy Ramoo said, “Our collaboration started with learners enrolled in the last 2 intakes who are on track with their learning journey and we believe that there is huge potential for growth in the future."
