The Bridgewater School International Inc. to incubate Glocal (Global Yet Local) Digital Talents with eduCLaaS

Adding yet another significant partner to its Pan-Asia higherEd alliance, eduCLaaS signed a memorandum of agreement (MoA) with The Bridgewater School International Inc. (TBSI), which now becomes an Authorized Training Partner (ATP) for the delivery of the CLaaS® Products across the Philippines.

CLaaS® delivers Competency Learning as a Service to support digital upskilling for higher education students, working adults, and enterprises in the digital economy. It adopts work-based learning pedagogy with a competency-based curriculum for blended learning journeys that deliver tangible career and business outcomes.

Currently, eduCLaaS operates via over 100 Pan-Asian campuses. The Bridgewater School International Inc. will be joining their network across the Philippines, bringing eduCLaaS’ unique blended learning curriculum to both local and international students.

The MoA formalizes a framework of cooperation and facilitates collaboration between the two bodies, where eduCLaaS at TBSI will deliver applied degree courses in Digital Business and Software Engineering with an international work-study opportunity where the learners gain up to three years of work experience before graduating.

"The signing of the Memorandum of Agreement between eduCLaaS and The Bridgewater School International, Inc. is a milestone and notable event for our school," Mr. Nicanor L. Ramos remarked, "These partnerships are all for the benefit of helping the Filipino students towards the call of time, which will hopefully lead to an international career pathway, preparing them for the jobs of the future. It commits us to work together more closely towards our common goal, the pursuit of internationalization of education through our programs."

School Principal Ma. Filipina P. Ramos, Ph.D. spoke of the possibilities the partnership will provide. “We are in a constantly competitive and changing world, so we should provide our students with the skills needed in the workplace. These programs being offered to us by our academic partnership with eduCLaaS would enhance the workforce readiness of our students. TBSI will be its arm in preparing the students for the jobs of the future where they will find good life and work balance and succeed.”

Founder and CEO of eduCLaaS, Leslie Loh, shared his thoughts on the partnership, saying, “Modern employers require plug-and-play graduates who can be productive from the first day of the job. Our 1+3 work-study degrees deliver seamless job induction before graduation: with 1 year of intensive skills acquisition bootcamp and 3 years of on-the-job training at the workplace. Our learners are Glocal (Global yet Local) digital talents as they engage in borderless learning and working, alongside international learners and employers, supported by over 100 regional campuses from across Asia.”
