Vietnamese Center of Informatics, Foreign Languages and Training On Demand to incubate Glocal (Global Yet Local) Digital Talents with eduCLaaS

 

                                                   

                                  

 

 

Vietnamese Center of Informatics, Foreign Languages and Training On Demand - under University of Information Technology and Communication (Thai Nguyen, Vietnam) signed a Memorandum of Agreement with eduCLaaS Pte Ltd, to jointly offer Higher Diploma, Applied Undergraduate degrees and Applied Postgraduate degree CLaaS® across Vietnam.

 

CLaaS® delivers Competency Learning as a Service to support digital upskilling for higher education students, working adults, and enterprises in the digital economy. It adopts work-based learning pedagogy with a competency-based curriculum for blended learning journeys that deliver tangible career and business outcomes.

 

Under the partnership, eduCLaaS at the Center of Informatics, Foreign Languages and Training On Demand’s campus will deliver Higher Diploma in (1) Digital Business (2) Software Engineering; Top-up Bachelor's degree in (1) Digital Business (2) Software Engineering; and Work-study Master degree in (1) Digital Marketing (2) Computer Science.

 

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr Tran Vu Minh – Director of Center of Informatics, Foreign Language and Training on Demand and Mr Vu Duc Thai – Vice Rector of the Thai Nguyen University of Information Technology and Communication, shared their expectation about the cooperation with eduClaaS in bringing significant applied learning and digital skilling programme as well as various job opportunities to Thai Nguyen and bridging the income inequality between the big cities and the countryside.

 

From eduCLaaS, Mr Leslie Loh – eduCLaaS’ Founder and CEO also said  “Traditional classroom-oriented training is time-invasive with high opportunity costs for adult learners and enterprises. Our integrated digital skills acceleration CLaaS® with transformation mentoring delivers workplace digital upskilling with digital transformation outcomes.” 

 

He further added, “We welcome Center of Informatics, Foreign Languages and Training On Demand - under University of Information Technology and Communication (Thai Nguyen, Vietnam) in joining our Pan-Asia eduCLaaS platform to incubate Glocal (Global yet Local) digital talents ready for growth in the post-Covid digital economy.”

Center of Informatics, Foreign Languages ​​and On-Demand Training (IFT) was established under Decision No. 70/QD-ĐHCNTT&TT of the Rector of the University of Information Technology and Communication on February 6, 2017 on the basis of integrating 4 centres including: the Center of Joint Training, Center of Economic Information Technology, Center of Sun Flower Foreign Languages, and Japan Education Research Cooperation Center.

 

The centre organizes training services to meet the learning needs of students in the university, agencies, units, organizations and individuals who have demand; also connects domestic and foreign organizations and enterprises to implement skill training, apprenticeship programs and digital transformation to meet business and labour market needs.
